The Southern Alberta hockey team faced off against Three Hills in a high-stakes match at Stavely Arena on October 19, 2025. Despite a valiant effort, Southern Alberta fell short with a final score of 3-5.
Three Hills came out strong, firing off a total of 35 shots throughout the game. Southern Alberta, unfortunately, couldn’t manage to land any shots on the opposition’s net. The powerplay stats were equally disappointing for Alberta, with the team failing to capitalize on any of their 5 opportunities, while Hills managed to convert 1 out of their 4 chances.
Alberta’s goalie, Cameron Casorso, had a busy night, facing 35 shots and making 31 saves. Despite the loss, Casorso’s performance was commendable, especially considering the barrage of shots from the opposition.
Three Hills’ #13, James Mullin, was the star of the match, scoring two goals and playing a crucial role in his team’s victory. For Alberta, Reece Orser (#21) managed to find the back of the net, providing one of the few bright spots in an otherwise challenging game.
Despite the defeat, Southern Alberta has a chance for redemption as they face Three Hills again on Saturday, October 25, at 4:00 pm at Stavely Arena. The team will surely be looking to turn things around and secure a win on their home ice.
