Southern Alberta MUSTANGS

In a nail-biting match last night, the Southern Alberta hockey team fell short against Calgary in a 4-3 loss. The game took place at the Stavely Arena, filled with eager fans ready to cheer on their teams.

Calgary came out strong, managing to fire off 44 shots against Alberta’s 24. Their aggressive play, coupled with a successful 2 out of 6 powerplays, kept the Southern Alberta team on their toes throughout the match. On the other hand, Alberta’s powerplay attempts were unsuccessful, with 0 out of 4 conversions.

Alberta’s goalie, Koy Sutherland, put up a valiant fight, managing to save 32 out of 44 shots. However, Calgary’s Anden Bieganowski was not far behind, saving 21 out of 24 shots.

In the player’s corner, Calgary’s #6 Maksym Onatskyi managed to score a goal. Alberta’s #18 Quintin Rose, however, stole the show with two spectacular goals.

Despite the loss, the Southern Alberta team showed great promise and resilience. They will be looking to bounce back in their next game, which is away against Hanna on Sat, Oct 18 at 8:00 pm at the Hanna Agri-Sports Complex. Be sure to tune in and support our team!
