In a thrilling face-off at Stavely Arena, the Southern Alberta hockey team emerged victorious against Diamond Valley with a final score of 5-2. The game, which took place on November 2nd, 2025, saw Alberta dominating the ice with a total of 46 shots, compared to Valley’s 30.
Despite both teams showcasing solid defensive tactics, neither managed to capitalize on their powerplays, with Valley going 0/7 and Alberta 0/6. The goalies for both teams put up a commendable fight, with Valley’s Jacob Larsen making 41 saves out of 46 shots, while Alberta’s Cameron Casorso managed to save 28 out of 30.
Valley’s Lucas Giveen Gomes De Reis (#6) managed to net two goals, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide in their favor. On the other hand, Alberta’s Austin Stewardson (#24) was instrumental in their victory, contributing with 3 assists.
